Notice clearly that God supplies our needs according to His riches; not OUT of His riches. There is a big difference! I read years ago of an account of the late John D. Rockefeller, who had a net worth of 340 billion dollars and is considered history's richest man. It was said when he played golf in Florida he only gave his caddy a dime tip! You see, he gave OUT of his riches; not ACCORDING to his riches.
But we are told here that God blesses us ACCORDING to His riches! How rich is God? Notice God's Words —
"I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy fold. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me." — Psalms 50:10-18
How wonderful to know that God supplies our needs us ACCORDING to His riches! To Him be the Glory!
