Do Christians Go There When They Die?

1. Genesis13:12-15	Abraham and his seed promised the land of Caanan as a posssion forever. Abraham had to be given eternal life ot inherit Caanan forever .

2. Romans 4:13	This promise of eternal life as later expanded to include the whole world.

3. Galatians 3:29	If we belong to Christ, then we are Abraham's seed. We belong to Christ if we have His Spirit (Rom.8:9). So if a Christian is one of Abraham's seed, the the promise of eternal inheritance on the earth also belongs to them.

4. Hebrews 11:8-13	Abraham died not yet having received the promises. Obviously, he will have to be resurrected and given eternal life to receive the promises of eternal inhertance of Canaan and the earth.

5. John 5:25-29	Abraham and his seed will be resurrected, given eternal life and inherit the promises at the coming of Christ.

6. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17	We will rise at the resurrection to meet Christ in the air, not in Heaven where God's throne is.

7. 1 Corinthians 15:50-51	We shall be changed into immortal beings at the seventh last trump, not at our death.

14. Ezekiel 37:20- 25	David will one day reign as king over Israel for ever. Obviously he will be given eternal life in God'sⳠKingdom and receive the promises at the resurrection. However, he has clearly not ascended in to the heavens, but is now in the grave.

15. Genesis 7:11	To understand the subject of Heaven, we must understand that in the Bible it speaks of 3 heavens. Here is an example of the first heaven; the atmosphere, where there are clouds form, rain condenses and the birds fly.

16. 2 Psalms 8:3	Here is an example of the second heaven mentioned in the Bible, the area outside the earth's atmosphere often referred to as outer space — where the sun, moon, stars and galaxies are located.

17. 2 Corinthians 12:2	This is the third heaven, where God's throne is located.

18. Revelation 4:1- 11	This again is the third heaven where God sits on His Throne.

19. Matthew 5:10, 20	This, as well as other passages speak of the saints inheriting the Kingdom of Heaven. However, it is not speaking of the Kingdom being in Heaven, but rather of or also from Heaven.

20. Revelation 21:1-3	The Heavenly Jerusalem shall come down to this earth.

21. Daniel 2:44	Kingdom of God shall consume all the kingdoms of the earth. It shall clearly be the Kingdom of God, from or of Heaven, established on the earth.

I would discourage you from making your main Bible some of the modern '"study Bibles". They are O.K. for some reference material , but much of them are biased and some of the notes very misleading. You will find your personal notes put into your Bible much more meaningful and helpful. A well marked Bible is a gold mine.
